Tony Stewart Previews The 4-Wide Nationals At ZMax Dragway
The fastest motorsports organization in the world is making its return to Charlotte in just over a week as the NHRA returns to the ZMax Dragway for the 4-Wide Nationals. Motorsports legend and current Top Fuel driver Tony Stewart joined Kyle and Evan to discuss his transition from oval racing to drag racing, and the excitement the NHRA has across the board.
Tony first discussed how different drag racing is compared to his days in NASCAR, as he said the main difference is you either hit or mark, or you go home, as compared to NASCAR, when you had 3 hours to work on a car, but Tony said it’s hard to beat driving a car that has almost 12,000 horsepower and can carry speeds of nearly 330mph on most weekends.
The discussion would go on to discuss how Tony got the itch to get into drag racing after being involved in NASCAR and dirt for so many years, and why the NHRA in-person experience is impossible to beat.
