Jake Delhomme Recaps A Hectic First Day Of Legal Tampering

The legal tampering period of NFL Free Agency began today at noon, with the Panthers engaged in several key negotiations to attract new players to the Queen City. Former Panthers quarterback and current radio analyst Jake Delhomme joined Kyle Bailey to discuss some of the most significant storylines as the new league year is about to start.
Jake first weighed in on signing CB Jaycee Horn to a massive 4-year extension that can go up to $108 million as he said that had to get done with his talent alone and you want to keep your talented players in-house. He also noted that while losing out on Milton Williams isn’t great for the Panthers, you can’t blame him for taking the money elsewhere, and most importantly, Jake thinks the focus as a whole needs to be depth on the defensive side of the ball moving forward after last year’s struggles.
The focus would go on to look at where Carolina could go in the draft, and what he’s noticed with the front office structure between Dan Morgan and Brandt Tilis.
