Joe Person Previews How The Panthers Offseason Could Unfold
We are just days away from the NFL offseason and the Carolina Panthers find themselves in an interesting spot after finishing last year with a 5-12 record. Joe Person of The Athletic joined Kyle Bailey to give us a preview in how the Panthers might attack both free agency and next month’s NFL Draft.
Joe started by discussing whether or not the Panthers could be in the hunt for Seahawks WR DK Metcalf as Joe Person thinks that Carolina will be interested, especially with both Dave Canales and Dan Morgan having very close ties to the Seahawks organization but they won’t make a deal with the current asking price of a 1st and a 3rd meaning that if this were to become serious, it would be because Seahawks GM John Schneider would have to come off his current high asking price.
The conversation shifted to Carolina trying to get extensions done with both Jaycee Horn & Taylor Moton, and if Carolina could spend a pretty penny on a safety in free agency.
