Jake Delhomme Reacts To The Benching Of Bryce Young

This week has been chaotic for the Panthers as following the loss to the Chargers the team benched starting QB Bryce Young. Former Panthers QB Jake Delhomme joined Kyle Bailey to weigh in on the decision and if Bryce can bounce back.

Jake first told us his reaction to the benching was him being somewhat surprised, but it made sense as he saw the pain in his face after multiple mistakes which he had never seen from him before. He noted that in his experience, while not the same as Bryce’s situation when he was benched in 2009, it felt like a massive relief for both him and the team.

The conversation would go on to focus on whether or not Bryce can bounce back, and how the team might look with Andy Dalton under center.
