Last night was supposed to be filled with hope for the future, but many Hornets fans were left with nothing more than anger and despair, after missing out on the #1 pick for the 2025 NBA Draft, receiving the fourth pick in the draft, in the latest example of how the NBA’s lottery system continues to fail small-market teams, making it impossible for them to rebuild. With all that anger and disgust still fresh this morning, you knew it would make for a lively Mac & Bone Show, and the guys didn’t fail to deliver, as they spent the entire show this morning recapping and processing what happened last night in Chicago.

They began the first hour today, venting about the Hornets once again losing the NBA Draft lottery, after they earned the 4th pick in the draft, costing them Cooper Flagg, a generational prospect from Duke, who is primed to be the best player from this class, and one of the best of his generation.

In the second hour, Mac & Bone continued to vent after the Hornets failed to earn the #1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, and they turned their attention to the lottery system, as they make the case for the NBA to get rid of it altogether.

In the third hour, the guys were joined by basketball analyst for ESPN, Paul Biancardi, as he explained why Hornets fans should still be excited about getting a top 4 pick, after missing out on Cooper Flagg, he breaks down the other potential draft prospects for the Hornets at #4, and more.

Lastly, in the final hour, Mac & Bone delivered their final thoughts on last night’s NBA Draft lottery, as they both came to terms with the Hornets missing out on Flagg.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
