The Carolina Panthers made a handful of roster moves on Thursday, including the cutting of a major defensive piece from the 2024 team. After just one season in Carolina, veteran Jadeveon Clowney was cut as a cap casualty earlier today in order to free up $7.78 million of cap that creates some flexibility for the team to use on rookie contracts as well as other positions that are still in need of insurance, like safety or linebacker.

Earlier this afternoon, shortly following the news that Clowney was being released, Mike Kaye joined the Wes & Walker Show to discuss the move from the Panthers and what he thinks of the Panthers draft class.
