Tim Albin Recaps His First Spring With Charlotte Football

The spring football period has come and gone, marking the end of Tim Albin’s first spring with the Charlotte 49ers after getting hired away from Ohio last off-season. After two disastrous seasons under Biff Poggi, Charlotte is looking for stability on and off the field as they try to establish themselves as contenders in the AAC. As you could expect with a new coach in town, there is an entirely new coaching staff and a roster, with many players leaving the program via the transfer portal, and many new players arriving via the transfer portal. Tim Albin established himself as a winner in Ohio, and he’ll look to replicate that same success in a bigger program.
Earlier today, Albiin joined the Mac & Bone Show, as he talks about his first season with the 49ers, he talks about the leadership on the team, he provides an update on the QB battle, and addresses off-the-field concerns around NIL and the transfer portal.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
